I recently experienced my first rodeo. It's ironic that after living in Texas for about 15 years, I attended my first ever rodeo in Maryland. It was a first for Lance and our girls as well. I've never really had any desire to go to a rodeo, but it was fun.

Family
Lance's parents, his sister Tina, and her son Dylan drove up for a visit last week. Tina and Dylan stayed for a week and then flew home Saturday. We were busy while they were here. Some of the highlights of their stay were trips to Washington DC; Gettysburg, PA; Lancaster, PA; Hershey, PA; and Baltimore. We also attended Hannah's 5th grade picnic and graduation, picnicked at Morgan Run, and went duckpin bowling.
It was a fun week, and it was great to spend time with Tina and Dylan. We are glad to have Glynn and Dee here with us for a while longer, and we are looking forward to this week being a little more laid back now that school is out. The girls are happy to be out of school for the summer and to have their grandparents here for a while.

Sold
So many of our neighbors were out, and it was great to get to spend time with some of them. It is a slow process, but little by little we are building relationships with the people God has placed us near. A couple of them are planning to attend LifePoint tomorrow morning, and I am praying that they will make it.

Songs That Bring Me Back
Have any of you ever seen the movie "Six Pack" starring Kenny Rogers? Well, it was a favorite of my brothers and mine when we were kids. We had the 45 of the theme song "Love Will Turn You Around" and we played it over and over on our Bee Gees disco lights record player.
I realized about midway through the morning today that I had been singing that song all day. I sometimes wake up and find myself singing something really random like this. Then I spend the next part of the day trying to figure out how that song could have gotten into my head. Who knows? I wish I could remember any dreams I might have had last night? I guess I'll never know what triggered these childhood memories.

Sale
We are having a community yard sale in our neighborhood tomorrow. I decided a few days ago to jump in on all the free advertising and publicity, clean out the closets, and participate. My morning has been spent in the garage getting all my items priced and ready to be purchased. I love to organize and it feels so good to have things a little less cluttered around here. I'm hoping for lots of buyers tomorrow!
